Hey, everybody!

The Music For Life tour kicked off last Wednesday here in Austin, and it was one of the most amazing, sacred moments in my 30 year career. I'll write about it on my blog when I have a second to catch up with myself!

WHAT'S UP:

OCTOBER 10, WED

I'll be singing with Craig Toungate, heart-warming and fun family entertainment, and Hilde Girls will rock with the Djembabes.

The event is part of a very hip and happening week-long celebration throughout the United States called Seven Straight Nights for Equal Rights. Straight families all over the country are sponsoring celebrations in their hometowns to show support for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender friends who deserve the same freedom to love that heterosexuals have.

NEW MUSIC

CD Cover: Knock Out Pediatric Cancer

I have a couple of songs on a new cd, "Keep Punching", available at http://www.KnockOutPediatricCancer.com. I have a brand new song called "Open Up To Me" that I wrote with Shelley King specifically for this album (and I asked Shelley to sing it), and I sing a lovely lullaby and have the closing song, as well.

Two time Heavyweight Champion of the World, "Big" George Foreman is coming out of retirement to join the most important fight of his life: he wants to help Knock Out Pediatric Cancer. Together with MD Anderson, the world's leading cancer center, "Big" George is commited to winning the fight for life.

"Keep Punching" is a Texas Collection of prominent Texas musicians: Eric Johnson, Ian Moore, Sara Hickman, Terri Hendrix, Ruthie Foster, Shelley King, WT Greer, Beth Wood, Slaid Cleaves, Wide Awake, Andy Timmons, Jones, Kelly Brown and Rhett Butler. All of the net proceeds from this album will be donated to The Children's Cancer Hospital at MDACC.

Bless you all, and thank you for your love and support!

Keep speaking out,
Love,
Sara
