Dear ______________,
(please place your name here)

4th of July is upon us, and, usually, my family and I
can be found at the Barton Hills Neighborhood Parade.
Everyone dresses up and decorates their bikes! There
is always a grand marshall, and sometimes politicians
show up to shake hands or share some historical words
with us. Watermelon, foot races, home baked cookies
and cakes, and best costume contests...After the
singing of the National Anthem, it is a big hoopla and
smiles all around.

So, wherever you are this 4th, may you be celebrating
freedom and enjoying the love of friends and families,
and remember to speak out on behalf of people around
the world who do not yet know independence, liberties
and freedom. Help them achieve their rights in their
pursuit of happiness! Join Amnesty International to
learn more.
Have a letter writing campaign with friends. Speak out
because the time is NOW.

And just so we're clear: I love rock-n-roll, so put
another dime in the jukebox, baby! Congratulations to
the Girls Rock Camp of Austin for
celebrating their first camp in fine fashion last
night at the Gibson Showroom. Six dy-no-mite all girl
bands, ranging in age 10-16, who rocked the showroom,
the casbah, the souls of everyone in attendance!

Til next time, I am sending love and big, heartfelt
smiles,
Sara

A WOMAN WANTING TO HAPPEN—Living Life Creatively:
A Three Day Workshop at The Crossings, Austin, TX
with musician/artist/mom/bon vivant Sara Hickman
(For Women Only)

We women attempt to express ourselves fully in
everyday situations, yet through creativity, we can do
so in extraordinary, celebratory ways. We can leave
our mark on the world through our individual and
unique process of seeing where something that
previously didn’t exist suddenly can! We can make our
visions a reality.

Are you wanting to be a more creative woman, but not
sure where to begin? Then join us for this unique
women’s weekend with the talented and creative Sara
Hickman. Learn how to form new habits and new ways of
thinking creatively. Sara will take you on a journey
of joy, helping you to release your hidden spark
through different methods of living creatively. You
will learn to weave storytelling, songwriting, art,
and the gospel of making something out of nothing into
your daily routine through writing, drawing, movement,
talking, listening, noticing and play. Come turn your
feminine insight into a full fledged wonderland of
non-stop ka-pow!

Mothers and daughters, best friends or girlfriends
encouraged to experience the weekend together, but not
mandatory. Please bring an instrument if you play. All
other necessary workshop supplies will be provided by
Sara.
