Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays, Everybody!

Say, if you live in Los Angeles, come out and see me.... TONIGHT!
Yup. Crazy me. I just got around to writing up my newsletter... but when you see what all has been going on, you'll understand. Won't you?

So...here's the scoop-ola:

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1
I'll be at McCabes in Santa Monica!! 8pm... we'll laugh, we'll cry... we'll end up hugging and thinking, "Where has the time gone...?" We'll go bowling!
3101 Pico Blvd.
Santa Monica, CA 90405
310-828-4497
$15

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2
I'll be at Theatre 150 in Ojai!
918 E. Ojai Ave.
Ojai, CA 93023
805-646-4300
$25

(By the way, if you have any bumperstickers you're not using, and you want to pop them on my guitar case, that would be completely AWESOME! I like anything except mean-spirited stickers, so they can be political, spiritual, funny, silly, pretty, etc.)

7th Annual Thermal Underwear Drive...

This is a group I work with as often as I can... House the Homeless does so much for the homeless in our community.

You can help ensure homeless folks stay warm this winter with just $10... Your contribution will supply them with a full set of cold deflecting thermals! $20 will outfit them with thermals, a hat, socks and gloves! $25 gets them all of the above PLUS a reusable rain poncho! This holiday season, give the gift that gives people WARMTH. Please send your tax free contribution to:
House the Homeless, Inc.
p.o. box 2312
austin, tx 78768

I have a decorated Christmas tree up for auction at the University Co-op in Austin. Decorated by the UT Elementary School children, who created one-of-a-kind handmade ornaments that represent different things from my children's cds... There's an Iolana in her Pajamas, Louise (the orange cat), Birdhouses, Leaves (for the song "It's Fall, It's Fall"), etc.

All the monies go to the UT Elementary School children... and let me tell you, they are SO WORTH IT!!! To make a bid, call Brian Jewell at 512-921-6264. Bidding closes on December 20. You can also bid on trees decorated by Kathy Valentine (The Go-Gos), Ray Benson, Mayor Will Wynn (his tree is completely upside down!), Earl Campbell and a host of others. But, you know, if you buy mine, I'll throw in a free collection of my cds, signed to that special someone in your life...and I'll write about you in the next newsletter (after bidding closes)!
