Sara Hickman's eNewsletter

A Sara Hickman eNewsletter for January 8, 2009

Hello, Everyone, and HAPPEEEE NEW YEAR! Let's all celebrate this new year with faithful anticipation of good things to come!
I am surrounding President Obama with positive prayers that he and his team can create a healthy new landscape for the United States.

This is a short newsletter! Just the facts, Jack! First, here's some info about the above photo: me with Super Pal Universe at the 2008 Chuy's Blue Christmas parade. Taken by Doug Elenz, dad of Aubrey (with the big smile and dark hair!) Take a good look at these fabulous kids: they are off and running in the talent department, I promise you! You will hear many things from them in the future.

Get gussied up in your finest (I'll be the one on stage dressed like Lena Horne!) and come dance the night away with your sweetheart(s)!

LOOKING FOR SUPPORT:
I wanted to post a wish list here for an amazing group I am involved in:
AAIM (Austin Area Interreligious Ministries). As a board member, I am trying to bring more awareness and support in different areas. So, today, I would like to ask for your support in supplying grocery gift cards for our refugee services. Part of AAIM's mission is to help teach ESL (English as a Second Language) to refugees in the Austin community. We try to provide food during the day (light lunches, snacks/drinks for the adults and children participating). If you would like to help with this endeavor, please send gift cards to:

Austin Area Interreligious Ministries (AAIM)
701 Tillery St. Ste 8 Austin, TX 78702
ph: 512-386-9145
fax: 512-385-1430
To learn more, please visit AAIM on the web: www.aaimaustin.org

If you have any questions, please contact:
Simone Talma at: stalma@aaimaustin.org

Until next time,
I wish you love, I wish you well!
